Protection of H.264 and HEVC supported video communications via Selective Encryption

We present our published work on the Selective Encryption of the well-known H.264 and HEVC video CODECs. Our contributions to the litterature involve :

• The improvement of the content security by enabling the encryption of a novel codewords: the intra prediction mode information.
• The improvement of the transmission robustness when deploying Selective Encryption over error-prone transmission channels.

 

Optimization of H.264 and HEVC CODECs for the low to ultra-low bitrate domain

Below are gathered ongoing/published works on the adaption of traditional video CODECs to the low and ultra-low bitrate domain (< 1 Mb/s).

• Video simplification for ROI-oriented low-bitrate video coding.
• Super-Resolution of HEVC encoded video streams via convex optimization methods.
